Deb returms from Parachute Festival, NZ

Joining a phenomenal 100+ artists from NZ and around the world, Deb performed before audiences of thousands in NZ, in what is fast becoming known as the largest music festival in the southern hemisphere. Pushing as many as 30,000 punters this year, the festival hit new records and had an artist line up to match, with headliners from Third Day to Rebecca St James. Together with her full 5 piece band, Deb performed her showcase set on mainstage, deluxe stage and an acoustic solo set on the village stage. "The festival had a great vibe," Deb explains. "It is fantastic to see the enthusiasm and support for artists both local and abroad from the people in NZ - it really was overwhelming. I hope to go back sometime and this time see more of the country!"

A Day in Studio with Christian McBride

After a scenic drive up to ACME Studios in Mamaroneck, NY, Christian joined Deb in studio to lay down bass tracks on 3 of her new songs on the upcoming release "Whoever You Are". Sounding particularly sweet on the upright for a jazzy number, the album is being set up for a great mix and mastering session in Nashville next week with Salvo.

Vocals done, new album on the way to completion!

Last week marked the final week laying down vocals for her new album. It's a constant evolution says Deb, "the more I get into studio and sing, the more the songs progress and evolve - the difficulty is signing off on what we are stoked with today, knowing that tomorrow it would probably just keep getting better..." Dates are falling into place for the launch plan both in Australia and abroad - stay tuned for Deb's appearance in your city!

Hear the Angels nominated in top 10 for ASAI award
For the Spiritual/Songs of Inspiration category in the prestigious Australian Songwriters Association Competition this year, Hear the Angels has been nominated in the top 10, for which 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards will be announced at the Awards Night in Sydney on the 10th August. Deb to record with Christian McBride & Mix in Nashville
Plans are shaping up very nicely for Deb's trip to the States in October with plans in New York to record with Jazz bass maestro Christian McBride, set to feature on some of Deb's new songs. Later in October Deb heads down to Nashville with producer Brad Evans to work with accomplished mix engineer Paul Salveson and get a feel for the Nashvillians and what we all know as the heart of Christian & Country/Western music.

Recording in studios at Wesley Mission on the 24th July, Deb will be performing 2 of her songs to be aired on national TV in the coming month. Stay tuned for the time and date of the broadcast.

"Innermost Being" Debut Concert at The Rock Auditorium
Singapore, 20th December 2005. The concert kicked off to an energetic start with the audience on their feet to the rock version (excuse the pun) of "Stirred Not Shaken". With her full six piece local Singaporean band, Deb shared a variety of songs and their stories both from her previous albums and the new album yet to be released later this year. A merry Christmas to all after an incredibly busy period for Deb as she spent her week leading up to Christmas performing in three different time zones in South East Asia.

NEW ALBUM RELEASE due:
Yes, it's official! Deb is now well underway with production of her third album and anticipates its release in the first half of 2006. Deb comments, "The songs have a new flavour, and I can definitely see a strong central theme coming out which is defining the album. The songs speak of some of the dark realities of the world and the age we live in, and yet through it all, a hope which, though sometimes so obscure, is always there. I had writers block for a good eight to ten months and many of the songs on this new album are from only the last couple of months – through a deluge of fresh inspiration – it's all come out at an incredible rate." Stay tuned on this site for news on the album's progress and details of its launch. She is planning to release and launch the album in Australia, Singapore and Malaysia.

Deb plays at Hillsong Conference
Part of the 25,000 strong Christian conference earlier this month, joining other artists such as Roma Waterman and the Jive Express, Deb performed two sets from her Innermost Being debut album during the week on the outdoor stage as people relaxed between seminars and workshops.

Album Launch Saturday 20 March 2004 March 20 marked the official release of Deb's 2nd album, Higher Way, with nearly 150 albums sold on the night. With an attendance of 400 people at North Shore Christian Centre, Chatswood, NSW Australia, Deb shared songs from her new album as well as her first, accompanied by most of her original studio band from Melbourne, including drummer Phil Gaudion from Paul Coleman Trio. It was an evening of intimate sharing and testimony from her life as well as a musical feast of her most recent compositions. All captured fantastically onto DVD, don't miss your copy which is available by order only through the website for $29.95, available soon. Only 100 First Edition DVDs to be printed and signed by Deb.
